Keeping our residents and community safe

Fairway is part of a strong community based on families and friendships that last a lifetime and having visitors is incredibly important to our resident’s health and wellbeing and we welcome all to Fairway. When visiting Fairway, we ask everyone to follow the checking in process ensuring our residents safety. Rapid Antigen Tests are provided for your convenience and please follow the checking in process as directed.

Fairway Aged Care is committed to managing visitor access at our facility to ensure the utmost health and wellbeing of our residents and staff. Accordingly, management are closely monitoring latest public health directives from DHHS and the rate of transmission in the community.

In order to balance our residents’ quality of life with their safety and the safety of all connected with Fairway, in addition to DHHS directives we continue to have a number of further requirements in place. Please help us all stay safe by practising strict hand hygiene protocol upon entering the facility, keeping 1.5 metres away from others and wear a mask covering both nose and mouth at all times (according to Vic Gov guidelines), and getting tested even if you have the slightest of symptoms. Please, if you have any symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, DO NOT VISIT our facility.

If you have further questions about COVID-19, or know someone who doesn’t have a support network to assist them, call the Victorian Government’s Coronavirus Hotline at any time (seven days a week) on 1800 675 398. If you need a translator or interpreter service call 131 450. Also, for the latest information visit: www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

Thanks to the community

Stay together, Stay strong.

We would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our entire Fairway Community along with our extended local community for their unwavering support throughout the pandemic.

We would also like to thank the Bayside City Council – Inclusive Bayside Partnership Program for their ongoing support and generous grant that enabled us to purchase IT resources that were used to connect residents with family members and our local community during the COVID-19 Lockdown.
